Notably, both artists take the lead in the Hip Hop and R&B categories.

Taylor Swift, not to be outdone, also stands tall with eight nominations across various categories, making the competition fierce and exciting.

The Collaboration Of The Year category sees 21 Savage’s notable hits from 2023, including “Rich Flex” with Drake, Metro Boomin’s “Creepin,” and “Good Good” with Usher & Summer Walker, competing against tracks by Lil Durk, Nicki Minaj, and GloRilla, among others.

21 Savage is also a strong contender in Song of the Year, Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, and has secured two nominations for R&B Song of the Year.

On the R&B front, SZA surpasses even Beyoncé as the most nominated artist in the genre. Her nominations include Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video, among others. Additionally, SZA is recognized in new categories for 2024, namely Pop Song of the Year and Pop Artist of the Year.

Doja Cat follows closely on the Hip Hop side with six nominations, putting her in a strong position in various categories, three of which pit her against SZA. Beyoncé secures four nominations and an indirect bonus nod, thanks to her photographer Mason Pool, who is nominated in the fan-voted Favorite Tour Photographer category.

Other notable Hip Hop and R&B artists in the running for a 2024 iHeartRadio Music Award include Chris Brown, Coco Jones, Fridayy, Gunna, Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, Lola Brooke, Sexyy Red, Victoria Monét, and Young Nudy.
