Toronto is gearing up for an unforgettable celebration as Hope for Refugees International hosts the Ubuntu Summer BBQ 2025 on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 790 Queen Street West, Toronto.
The event, described as “a day to remember” by Patrick, Director of Hope for Refugees, promises an afternoon filled with delicious BBQ meats and chicken, refreshing drinks, music, dancing, games, and vibrant community vibes.
Designed to celebrate resilience, culture, connection, and joy, the Ubuntu Summer BBQ will bring together African newcomers and students in Ontario, offering a space to connect with friends, neighbors, and the broader community.

This year’s BBQ also marks a special milestone: two years of Hope for Refugees serving Toronto’s Black refugee and newcomer community.
The celebration will feature not just food and music, but also the shared spirit of Ubuntu — a reminder of the strength found in unity, culture, and collective joy.
