Bobi Wine Criticizes Museveni’s Use of Public Funds for Bribery
Kampala, 16th May 2024 – In a powerful statement addressing the nation, Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has expressed his strong disapproval of President Yoweri Museveni’s alleged misuse of taxpayer money to manipulate political outcomes. “Everyone who betrays the people’s struggle will get their due reward. Using taxpayers’ money; our money, Museveni will definitely bribe so many people, including men of honor, to do very shameless things,” Kyagulanyi declared.
Kyagulanyi, a prominent opposition leader and musician, emphasized that despite the corruption and inducements faced by the political elite, his belief in the democratic process remains unshaken. “Our faith is not in the political class. Our faith is in the people of Uganda,” he affirmed, underscoring his trust in the collective power and resolve of Ugandan citizens to overcome political malfeasance and bring about genuine change.
As the political climate in Uganda heats up ahead of the forthcoming elections, Kyagulanyi’s words resonate with many who are frustrated with the current administration’s tactics and yearn for a more transparent and accountable governance.
