It’s been one year since the passing of Cam’ron’s mother, and the Dipset MC took to Instagram on Friday (February 9) to share a heartfelt tribute and reflect on her loss.

In a series of photos and videos, the usually braggadocious rapper showed a more somber side as he reminisced about his late mother’s final moments. Cam’ron revealed that his mother, who had suffered a stroke, had lost her ability to speak and could only communicate with him through text messages in her final days.

In the caption, Cam’ron expressed the challenges of caring for his mother during her illness, from dealing with her pain to maintaining her spirits. He also thanked his family members and friends for their support during this difficult time.

Cam’ron’s mother, Fredericka Giles, known as “Virgie” to Dipset fans, passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 67. Cam’ron shared the news of her passing nine days later, highlighting her resilience despite physical impairments caused by the stroke she suffered in 2007.

Despite his initial hesitation, Cam’ron decided to share the news of his mother’s passing on social media, recognizing the importance of her online community to her. He expressed gratitude to her social media friends for bringing joy to her life and shared anecdotes about her lively personality and interactions on social media.

As Cam’ron continues to mourn the loss of his beloved mother, his touching tribute serves as a reminder of the enduring bond between a mother and her son.
