Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Breaks Spotify Record with 100 Million Streams in Under Nine Days
Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” has achieved a remarkable feat on Spotify, surpassing 100 million streams in less than nine days. This makes it the fastest rap song to reach this milestone on the platform, surpassing Drake’s “God’s Plan.” The track, released as part of Lamar’s ongoing feud with Drake, also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Lamar’s first song to achieve this feat.
In “Not Like Us,” Lamar takes direct aim at Drake, with lyrics like, “Why you trollin’ like a b*tch? Ain’t you tired? Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A-Minor.” He also references Drake’s OVO imprint, suggesting that only Chubbs receives his hand-me-downs, and making controversial remarks about PartyNextDoor and Baka Not Nice.
The feud between Lamar and Drake began in March when Lamar, along with Metro Boomin and Future, released “Like That.” The two artists then exchanged diss tracks, with Lamar releasing “Euphoria,” “6:16 In LA,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “Not Like Us,” while Drake responded with “Push Ups,” Taylor Made Freestyle,” “Family Matters,” and finally, “The Heart Part 6,” which was released on May 5. Since then, both artists have remained silent on the matter.
Lamar’s achievement on Spotify further cements his place as one of the most influential artists in the rap game today. Fans eagerly await further developments in his feud with Drake.
