MEET THE CANDIDATE: KISAAKYE IVAN
Born in 1992 to the late Karim Magezi and Princess Harriet Musoke Nnajuko Magezi, Kisaakye Ivan is the fourth of ten children in a humble but resilient family. Despite the early loss of his father and the challenges of a single-parent upbringing, Ivan defied the odds through perseverance and hard work.
His educational journey took him from Makerere Yellow Nursery School to Makerere Modern School, with interruptions due to financial hardship. But Kisaakye never gave up. He returned to education as an adult, completing his UCE in 2013 and UACE in 2015 before enrolling at Makerere University to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
Beyond academics, Ivan is a dynamic creative force. He has managed musicians, worked with renowned Ugandan music producers, and acted in local films under Jerry Stone Films. He currently serves as the National Gospel Media Representative within the Entertainment Journalist Association Uganda (EJAU).
