Lil Yachty Ventures into New Territory with Concrete Rekordz Label
Lil Yachty continues to break boundaries with each passing day. From his consistent stream of new features to his recent and upcoming projects, the Atlanta rapper, also known as Lil Boat, is thriving in the music industry. One of his notable ventures includes an upcoming album collaboration with UK singer James Blake titled “Bad Cameo,” promising an intriguing blend of talents. Additionally, Yachty has been spearheading the development of a rap collective known as the Concrete Boys, which gained traction with their “MO JAMS” release in late December. Now, Yachty and fellow artists Camo!, DC2TRILL, Draft Day, and KARRAHBOOO have established Concrete Rekordz as their stable foundation.
While Yachty leads the label, he is not alone in this endeavor. According to reports from Uproxx, Concrete Rekordz has received backing from Quality Control, the label to which Yachty is signed. Moreover, Quality Control is now affiliated with HYBE America, a subsidiary of the Korean entertainment conglomerate home to renowned K-pop groups like BTS. With such substantial support from industry giants, Yachty and Concrete Rekordz are poised to make a significant impact in the music scene.
To mark this milestone achievement, the Concrete Boys unveiled a new single from their upcoming album, “It’s Us, Vol. 1.” Titled “FAMILY BUSINESS,” the track, along with its accompanying music video, was released on YouTube today. According to Genius, the full project is set to debut on April 5, offering listeners an enticing musical experience. The new single exemplifies the group’s talent and sets high expectations for the album’s release.
