Responding to inquiries from this website regarding claims that he sold off an ambulance and a water tanker donated to his constituency to settle debts, Hon. Mukasa refuted the allegations, deeming them untrue. He clarified that the ambulance had fulfilled its purpose and was disposed of accordingly. Addressing the water tanker issue, he labeled the story as baseless and fueled by envy, asserting that there was no factual foundation for the claims.

“This is not the first time my opponents have used underhand methods to tarnish my reputation, not only in Lubaga South but also in other areas,” Mukasa stated. He recounted an incident where the ambulance, now under discussion, was impounded during the Kayunga By-election without clear reasons. The vehicle, according to him, had been deployed to support Harriet Nakwedde and was later found damaged, spending nearly a year impounded.

Mukasa shared a disturbing incident involving threats and vandalism targeting a water tanker he had provided to offer free water to his constituents. He described discovering the driver’s cabin doused in petrol, with a matchbox lighter and a warning that the tanker would be set ablaze. Despite these challenges, Mukasa remains committed to serving Lubaga South and has initiated investigations into the criminal incidents.

Acknowledging the political nature of the attacks, Mukasa asserted, “Unfortunately, I don’t know these people, but investigations are still ongoing to ascertain who exactly they are.” He emphasized that he has contacted suppliers to procure a new ambulance to replace the impounded one.

When asked about the potential political motivation behind these incidents, Mukasa affirmed the connection but did not rule out potential links between the criminal groups and state entities. He revealed the closure of a Constituency Office in Ndeeba due to persistent threats and emphasized the need for vigilance in the face of danger.

“I have no debt, and I am serving the people of Lubaga South. Those malicious reports are meant to divert us,” Mukasa confidently asserted. Regarding his achievements, he highlighted efforts in lobbying for infrastructure projects, such as Suuna Road, and mobilization programs for the youth, aiming to reduce harassment by law enforcement.

“My plan is to ensure our people get the services they deserve. We will embark on sensitization campaigns to encourage parents to appreciate the benefits of keeping children in school and facilitate women in income-generating activities,” he concluded.
