Saturday Night Live Spoofs Katt Williams’ Club Shay Shay Interview in Hilarious Skit
In its latest episode, Saturday Night Live (SNL) took a comedic jab at Katt Williams’ recent Club Shay Shay interview. The skit featured Ego Nwodim portraying Williams, with Devin Walker playing Shannon Sharpe, billed as the “eight-hour extended version” of the original interview.
Nwodim’s Williams humorously claimed, “Three things are true about me. I am 5’3, I have never told a lie, and I am 6’3.” The skit included playful jabs at Williams’ comments about Kevin Hart, with lines like, “Look, Hollywood made Kevin Hart. Everyone knows Kevin Hart was made in the same factory where they make Teddy Grahams. Why the hell he smell like cinnamon?”
Other targets in the skit included Barack Obama, and Nwodim’s Williams even claimed credit for inventing fruit. The SNL parody continued to satirize the controversial interview, offering a comedic take on Williams’ outspoken remarks.
In addition to the SNL spoof, Williams has kept his post-interview feuds alive by dropping a freestyle aimed at Ludacris during an appearance on Suge Knight’s Collect Call podcast. The freestyle included references to the Club Shay Shay interview, where Williams suggested Ludacris engaged in a sexual relationship with Quincy Jones.
Meanwhile, during the SNL episode, Renee Rapp brought out Megan Thee Stallion for a musical performance. The duo performed their collaboration “Not My Fault,” recorded for the recently released Mean Girls remake. Additionally, Rapp showcased her solo track “Snow Angel” from her album of the same name released last year.
The SNL episode, which aired on January 20, featured Jakob Elodi as the main host, known for his acclaimed portrayal of Elvis Presley in Priscilla. Actress Rachel McAdams also made an appearance in the episode, introducing one of Rapp’s performances.
