TV Host Tifah Kabarungi Reports Stolen Phone Amid Exam, Warns Contacts Against Scams
Tifah Kabarungi, also known as CEO Tifah, a prominent TV presenter and events host, has become the latest public figure in Kampala to fall victim to property theft. The Next Media employee disclosed via her Snapchat and Instagram that her mobile phone was stolen while she attended an examination at UMCAT School.
CEO Tifah explained that she had left her phone in a designated area before entering her exam room on Thursday. When she returned, the phone was missing, presumably taken by an unidentified individual. Since the theft, the perpetrator has attempted to contact her acquaintances, soliciting money using her phone number.
In response, Tifah has issued a caution to her friends and contacts: “My phone was stolen yesterday as I was doing an exam please don’t pick up any calls or send money to anyone who calls using my numbers. I can only talk to people through snap and Instagram,” she stated, aiming to prevent any potential scams using her stolen phone number.
This incident adds CEO Tifah to a growing list of well-known figures in Kampala, including Zari Hassan, Cindy Sanyu, Joanitta Kawalya, and Victor Ruz, who have similarly reported thefts of their personal gadgets. Tifah continues to seek assistance in retrieving her mobile phone and mitigating any further misuse of her stolen property
