Usher has offered fans a sneak peek into his highly anticipated Super Bowl Halftime show with the release of the first trailer. Titled “One performance, 30 years in the Making,” the minute-long teaser celebrates Usher’s enduring legacy. The trailer features a compilation of fans and celebrities performing the singer’s 2004 hit, “Yeah.” Usher was announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl in September 2024, accompanied by an NFL skit featuring Kim Kardashian.

In addition to the Super Bowl excitement, Usher revealed that Super Bowl Sunday (February 11) will mark the release of his upcoming album, “Coming Home.” This will be Usher’s ninth studio album and his first since “Hard II Love” in 2016. With only the collaborative album “A” with Zaytoven in 2018 between his solo projects, Usher is aiming for a triumphant return to form with “Coming Home.” “Hard II Love” marked the first time since his 1994 debut that an Usher album neither peaked at #1 nor received an RIAA certification.

Usher’s connection with sports doesn’t end with the Super Bowl; he has also extended an invitation to the Las Vegas Aces. After missing their WNBA Championship parade, Usher invited the team to his “My Way” residency show. In a video posted on social media, Usher expressed his regret at missing the parade and congratulated the defending champs. He invited them to his show in Vegas, saying, “We stick together, we love one another. Congratulations on this day, and I’ll see you soon.” While Usher couldn’t attend the Aces’ parade, 2 Chainz stepped in to perform.

The friendly banter ensued among the Aces, with Sydney Colson jokingly pointing out the selective invitation. A’ja Wilson responded with playful banter, highlighting Colson’s two-point score in game 4. The exchange added a touch of camaraderie to Usher’s offer to the WNBA champions.
