2 Chainz Hospitalized After Car Crash Caused by Suspected Drunk Driver in Miami

Rapper 2 Chainz has been rushed to the hospital following a car crash in Miami, reportedly caused by a drunk driver. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday (December 9) as the Welcome to ColleGrove artist was leaving an Art Basel party on I-95. TMZ was the first to report the crash, revealing that the Tesla that struck 2 Chainz’s vehicle was suspected to be driven under the influence.

According to initial reports from the scene, 2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was hit from behind, and the Tesla that collided with his car appeared to be severely damaged.

Despite the crash, 2 Chainz is reported to be in stable condition. The rapper even took to his Instagram stories to share a video of himself being loaded into an ambulance by first responders.

This incident comes at a time when 2 Chainz is actively promoting his latest joint album with Lil Wayne, Welcome to ColleGrove.

In recent interviews, 2 Chainz discussed the making of the album, praising 50 Cent’s professionalism during the recording process. He revealed that 50 Cent nailed his skit parts on the album in one take and commended his recognizable voice and expertise in the TV space.

During an informal AMA session on Twitter last month, 2 Chainz shared that there were initially planned collaborations with Roddy Ricch and Kevin Durant on the album, but they didn’t make the final cut. Additionally, he mentioned challenges in clearing a Prince sample and revealed that he and Lil Wayne were together for about 60 percent of the album’s production.
