YSL Co-Founder Trontavius Stevens Identifies Young Thug and Others in Ongoing RICO Trial

In the ongoing YSL RICO trial, co-founder Trontavius Stevens recently took the stand, providing testimony that included pointing out Young Thug and other members associated with the alleged “gang” collective. On Monday (January 8), Stevens faced prosecutors’ questions regarding gang signs and other distinctive features of the purported gang he co-founded.

As part of a plea deal with the prosecution, Stevens is obligated to testify truthfully, as analyzed by CourtTV. Despite his overall uncooperative stance during testimony, he eventually identified Young Thug and “other members of the YSL, Young Slime Life, gang” upon the prosecutor’s request.

On January 1, just before returning to the courtroom for the YSL RICO trial, Young Thug promoted the brand ‘Act Normal’ on social media. In his post, he wrote, “If you support me then… you know the rest,” along with a link to the brand’s website. Despite appearing in good spirits and engaging in charitable activities, such as a Christmas toy drive with an Atlanta church, the trial has been marked by ongoing drama.

Last month, the trial faced a delay when one of Thugger’s co-defendants, Shannon Stillwell, was stabbed while in jail. The court reporter Meghann Cuniff confirmed the delay until January 2, 2024, citing Stillwell’s medical condition as the reason for the postponement.

“Young Thug’s RICO trial is on hold until Jan. 2,” she announced. “This after his co-defendant Shannon Stillwell was stabbed in jail. Judge Glanville told the jury yesterday there was a medical issue. Today he told them, ‘Unfortunately that medical issue still exists.’”

According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Stillwell was stabbed by fellow inmate Willie Brown, who had been in jail without bond for almost 3 1/2 years. Shannon Stillwell’s attorney, Max Schardt, expressed concern for Stillwell’s health and stated that more details would be provided when appropriate.

Stillwell, arrested alongside Young Thug and 27 others in May 2022, faces multiple charges, including murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

The trial is anticipated to extend for over a year.
