A$AP Rocky’s New Puma Sneaker Ad Sparks Fan Outrage: “Where’s the Album?”

A$AP Rocky has found himself in hot water with fans after releasing a new sneaker advertisement for the Puma “Mostro” shoe, leaving many wondering when they can expect new music from the rapper.

In the surreal clip, Rocky muses, “Around the clock, nonstop, time after time, just passing you by. I need a little quick break. It’s like, when you get an idea stuck in your head it’s no escaping. I wanna kick back and relax. No matter what I put on I can’t get this shit out my head. It’s almost like it consume my every thought.”

Fans, eager for new music, expressed their frustration in the comments, hoping that the trailer signaled the imminent release of a new album. One user vented, “If bro don’t drop the album I’m changing my name to A$AP Rocky and doing it myself. It’s time.” Another added, “BRO YOU CANNOT KEEP DOING THIS TO ME I WANT MY F**KING ALBUM.”

Although the video didn’t bring news of an album release, Rocky has been teasing new music in 2024. Last month, he previewed a collaboration with Westside Gunn during a performance overseas.

Taking the stage in Paris for Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes, a charity concert at the Accor Arena, Rocky performed an unreleased track featuring vocals from the Griselda rapper. The song, reportedly titled “Whiskey,” is produced by Clams Casino and also features Damon Albarn, according to Genius.

Amidst the star-studded lineup, which included Pharrell, Maroon 5, and J Balvin, Rihanna, Rocky’s girlfriend, was spotted watching his set from the crowd.

In November, A$AP Rocky was seen in the studio with Westside Gunn and Gorillaz’s Damon Albarn, sparking further anticipation for upcoming music projects.
