Airtel Uganda Announces Support for Busoga Kingdom’s Historic Royal Wedding
Airtel Uganda, the country’s first 5G Network, declared its support for the Busoga Kingdom in preparations for the upcoming royal wedding of Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom, Gabula Nadiope IV, set to take place on November 18, 2023.
In a media briefing held at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Airtel Uganda expressed its backing for the event and urged the public to utilize the Airtel Money platform to contribute to the noble cause.
Japhet Aritho, Managing Director at Airtel Money Uganda, emphasized the company’s commitment to cultural diversity and celebrated the royal wedding as a significant heritage passage for the Busoga Kingdom. He noted that this partnership creates opportunities for uplifting the lives of the Kyabazinga’s subjects, many of whom are Airtel’s loyal customers.
Aritho stated, “Airtel Uganda has received immense support from Busoga over the years, and this is a moment to reciprocate by supporting crucial occasions such as the forthcoming royal wedding, which holds tremendous historical significance for the Kingdom.”
The public and well-wishers have been encouraged to participate in the initiative by contributing through Airtel Money, a secure and convenient platform, using the dial code 1859# with Airtel Money Merchant code 4360000.
Ahmed Osman Noor, Busoga Kingdom’s 2nd Deputy Prime Minister, expressed gratitude for Airtel Uganda’s support, recognizing the telecom’s assistance in the Kingdom’s preparations for a joyous and successful ceremony.
Aritho concluded by inviting everyone to engage actively in this celebration of love, culture, and unity, underscoring the significance of coming together for shared purposes akin to the Busoga Kingdom.
