Blueface’s Jail Conditions Not as Grim as Some, TMZ Reports
While Blueface currently finds himself behind bars, his living conditions reportedly stand in contrast to the typical jail experience. According to TMZ’s report on Monday (January 22), the “Thotiana” rapper, currently incarcerated at the Los Angeles County Sheriff Men’s Central Jail, enjoys certain privileges, including having a cell to himself and access to various amenities.
Reportedly in administrative segregation, the 27-year-old rapper is kept separately from the general population due to perceived threats, either against him or from him towards the jail, other inmates, or personnel. Blueface’s conditions include seven hours a week for education classes or religious services, meal delivery, access to a television set, and use of the library.
The nature of Blueface’s administrative segregation—whether protective custody or restrictive housing—is yet to be clarified, and HipHopDX has reached out to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department for more details.
Last week, TMZ reported Blueface’s incarceration in the county jail for violating probation related to a 2021 assault charge where he and his entourage were accused of assaulting a club bouncer. Jail records indicate he will remain in custody until July 2, 2024, though the release date is subject to change.
While it remains unclear why Blueface is in jail, his mother, Karlissa Saffold, hinted at possible “baby mama drama.” On the day he turned himself in, Saffold took to social media, suggesting that individuals named Jaidyn Alexis and Chrisean Rock played a role in her son’s current predicament. Allegedly, Alexis threw a glass at security, and Rock hit a fan, leading to Blueface’s further legal troubles due to their reluctance to provide details to authorities, according to Saffold.
