Dame Dash, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, is hoping a judge will approve a reduction in his child support payments following the revelation of his 2022 income. In legal documents filed as part of his custody case with ex-wife Rachel Roy, with whom he shares a daughter, Dash claimed he could only afford to pay $428 per month, citing a lower-than-expected annual income.

Dash, known for his entrepreneurial spirit, explained that his income has been impacted by various business ventures that did not yield the expected results. In 2022, he reported an annual income slightly over $5,000, stating that he struggled to recover from the effects of the pandemic.

The proposed $428 monthly payment is a significant reduction from the $3,000 he is currently paying Roy. However, Roy has challenged Dash’s claims, asserting that he still holds a stake in Roc-A-Fella Records, which should contribute to a substantial income. She also mentioned undisclosed business ventures that could be generating revenue for Dash.

As of now, no ruling has been made by the judge regarding Dash’s request or Roy’s response. The situation comes amidst recent statements from Dash about reclaiming Roc-A-Fella Records. In an interview with The GAUDS Show, Dash asserted his role as the CEO of Roc-A-Fella Inc., separate from the sold Roc-A-Fella LLC, sparking renewed discussions about his ongoing ties to the iconic record label. Updates on the legal proceedings will be monitored for any developments.
