Kanye West has recently made bold claims regarding his ongoing dispute with Adidas, from whom he parted ways in 2022 following controversial remarks about the Jewish community. On Wednesday (January 31), an Atlanta-based sneaker company’s social media account shared an image of a Yeezy Pod, pointing out sizing discrepancies. Kanye West responded to this, revealing that his disagreements with Adidas are far from over.

In a direct message to the Atlanta sneaker company, Kanye detailed his current challenges in the fashion space. He explained that he invested a year in developing the Yeezy Pod independently, alleging that Adidas copied his designs and mistreated him. West stated that Adidas is suing him for $4 billion, accusing him of misusing the marketing fund, despite him being the driving force behind the brand’s marketing.

Last year, Adidas dropped a $75 million lawsuit against Kanye West’s brand, but indicated that it would continue pursuing legal matters privately. Investors had previously sued Adidas over their Yeezy partnership, claiming that the company downplayed the risks associated with West’s personal behavior.

In early 2023, Kanye West and Adidas reached an agreement, allowing the company to release and promote existing Yeezy products from their previous deal. The contract did not outline provisions for extending the collection but permitted the release of remaining designs. Reports estimate the value of the remaining Yeezy X Adidas products at around $500 million.
