Fans of Lil Nas X are in for a treat as the artist’s debut international tour, which concluded last year, will soon hit screens as a concert documentary. Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero is set to premiere on HBO and Max on January 27. The film, named after the 60-date global tour in support of his debut album, took place from September 6, 2022, to March 26, 2023.

Directed by Zac Manuel and Carlos López Estrada, the documentary made its debut at the Toronto Film Festival in 2023. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film not only captures Lil Nas X’s dynamic performances but also features the artist discussing his position in the music industry as a queer Black man.

In a simple Instagram announcement, the 24-year-old rapper shared the news: “Good News World! Long Live Montero [purple-heart emoji]. Tour Doc. HBO MAX. January 27. BIG 2024.”

In a related development, Jack Harlow has collaborated with Meta to offer fans an immersive experience of his tour across his home state of Kentucky, which concluded in early December. The rapper has partnered with Range Media Productions and Media.Monks for a project titled Jack Harlow No Place Like Home: A VR Concert. The virtual reality experience provides viewers with a close look at live shows and behind-the-scenes footage.

Harlow explained, “At some point last year, I realized how much of my home state I’ve never seen. I suddenly got this urge to take a tour bus across Kentucky with all my childhood friends. So that’s what we did. Six shows in different towns across the state, with the final stop being in Lexington. We decided my first show at the historic Rupp Arena was the perfect moment to capture in VR. Enjoy.”
