Men in Military Attire Raid Mbale Forex Bureau, Steal Millions in Heist

Mbale City was jolted by a stunning incident on the evening of November 1, 2023, as a group of men dressed in military uniforms raided a forex bureau office, making off with millions of shillings.

As per Rogers Taitika, the spokesperson for the Elgon region police, the men, driving Haria vehicles, intercepted two employees of the Mbale forex bureau as they were leaving their office in vehicle number UBB 762B in the afternoon.

The perpetrators forcibly removed the employees from their vehicle and transferred them into their own vehicles, driving them to an undisclosed location. Taitika elaborated that the assailants, after seizing the victims, confiscated a substantial sum of money running into millions but refrained from inflicting harm on the individuals.

Taitika informed that no suspects have been apprehended yet. However, the police have initiated investigations to track down the culprits and ensure their subsequent arrest and prosecution in the courts of law. The incident has triggered heightened vigilance and efforts to swiftly address the shocking robbery that transpired within the city.
