NUP Supporter King Zale and BlueTick Abducted By Army

The reported disappearance of activists known as King Zale and BlueTick has ignited renewed concern over human rights and the rule of law in Uganda. According to accounts from colleagues and supporters, both individuals were allegedly taken by unidentified armed men using unmarked vans—commonly referred to as “drones”—in separate incidents. Their whereabouts remain unknown, raising urgent questions about due process and state accountability.

Civil society voices and opposition supporters have strongly condemned the incidents, describing them as part of a troubling pattern of enforced disappearances. Calls are growing louder for authorities to either formally charge the two individuals in a court of law or release them immediately.
