Uganda has faced several challenges in infrastructure development during President Yoweri Museveni’s 40-year tenure. One of the major issues is the lack of proper roads and transportation facilities. Reports indicate that allocated funds for roadworks often vanish into a web of corruption, leading to subpar construction and an absence of accountability. This has resulted in poor connectivity and transportation facilities, especially in rural areas.

Another issue is the lack of electricity and poor infrastructure, which causes high costs of doing business.
