Report: Russian Forces Allegedly Target And Kill 20 Ukrainian Soldiers in Fatal Attack at Award Ceremony
An alarming report suggests that Russian forces may have targeted more than 20 Ukrainian soldiers who had assembled in a front-line village in Zaporizhzhia Oblast for an award ceremony. Preliminary information, as reported by online newspaper Ukrainska Pravda on November 4, citing a source within the Interior Ministry, alleges a perilous attack that took the lives of Ukrainian troops.
The soldiers from the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade had gathered on November 3 to receive honors commemorating Missile Forces and Artillery Day, as per Ukrainska Pravda’s account.
Further substantiating the disturbing account, a Ukrainian serviceman shared similar information about the incident on social media. While Zakarpattia Oblast Governor Viktor Mykyta did not directly confirm the details, on November 4, he conveyed that following official information and with the consent of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, an order would be issued to honor the fallen soldiers.
Additionally, Mykyta advised the public to pay their respects by visiting churches and praying for the safety of the defending forces.
