Spirited BUL Overcome Stubborn Soltilo Bright Stars

BUL FC bounced back to winning ways with a 2-1 comeback victory over Soltilo Bright Stars at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Jeromy Kirya and Walter Ochora scored for the table leaders in the second half after Shafik Kakande had put Bright Stars in the lead at the stroke of halftime.

Kakande struck perfectly inside the box following a brilliant Issa Bugembe assist in the 42nd minute.

BUL fought back to level terms through Ochora who headed home from Kirya’s teasing free kick in the 54th minute.

The match winning moment came in the 69th minute as Bright Stars keeper Hassan Matovu fumbled with Kirya’s long range show which surprisingly found its way into the net.

The win elevated Abbey Bogere Kikomeko’s side to 37 points and remain top of the table with five points clear of second placed Kitara.

Bright Stars remained 9th on the table following defeat, on 21 points, one above 10 placed KCCA FC.

BUL will visit Maroons at Luzira in their next league game on 23rd February while Bright Stars will host Express on 22nd February.
