National Unity Platform Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, mourns the passing of renowned Lango musician Munu Benard, also known as BeePee. Bobi Wine reveals that BeePee succumbed to injuries sustained in an accident at Front Page Lounge in Lira City. BeePee, celebrated in the northern regions, especially Lango and Acholi, gained fame through hits like “Par Pira,” “Akello,” “Makmot,” and “Tica (My Duty).”
In a separate development, Ugandan musician Beenie Gunter is reportedly detained in the United Arab Emirates following a performance over the weekend. The reasons for his incarceration remain undisclosed.
