Uganda DanceSport Federation 2024 Launches Year Calendar with Capacity-Building Camp

The Uganda DanceSport Federation initiated its 2024 calendar with a capacity-building camp hosted by Nyakasura School in Fort Portal.

Students and teachers from various schools convened at the host school on Wednesday to partake in the four-day event aimed at advancing the sport’s development in Uganda.

The inaugural day of the camp, which took place yesterday, featured a morning aerobics session to ensure the athletes stayed physically fit and healthy. A teamwork and bonding session ensued until sunset.

On the second day of the camp, facilitators shifted gears, conducting a morning class session for athletes in a designated hall.

The topics covered during the morning session included an introduction to DanceSport and its disciplines, environmental awareness, and an introduction to sports medicine.

In the afternoon, athletes engaged in dancing with drills led by certified facilitators from the Uganda DanceSport Federation.

All activities align with the camp’s theme, ‘Dance Green Protect The Environment.’ The camp is scheduled to conclude on Sunday.
