50 Cent and Lil Wayne to Assist Coaches at NBA Celebrity Game During All-Star Weekend

50 Cent and Lil Wayne are gearing up to join the coaching staff for the upcoming NBA Celebrity Game during All-Star Weekend, as announced by the NBA.

According to the league’s announcement on Wednesday (February 7), 50 Cent will serve as an assistant coach alongside Shannon Sharpe, while Lil Wayne will assist coach Stephen A. Smith. The highly-anticipated game is scheduled for Friday, February 16 at 7:00 PM EST and will be exclusively aired on ESPN.

50 Cent will team up with Club Shay Shay host Shannon Sharpe, with Peyton Manning also joining their coaching staff. Their roster includes notable names such as Anuel AA, Kai Cenat, Conor Daly, Walker Hayes, Quincy Isaiah, Jewell Loyd, Micah Parsons, Lilly Singh, SiR, and Dylan Wang.

On the other side, Lil Wayne will be calling plays alongside WNBA star A’Ja Wilson and head coach Stephen A. Smith. Their roster features Adam Blackstone, Natasha Cloud, Jennifer Hudson, Tristan Jass, AJ McLean, Kwame Onwuachi, Metta World Peace, Jack Ryan, CJ Stroud, and Gianmarco Tamberi.

Excited about the news, 50 Cent took to Instagram to share his anticipation for the event, teasing, “All-star game. I’m coaching, you know my team is gonna win. @liltunechi is probably gonna get high and not show up ! LOL”

Apart from the celebrity lineup, Jennifer Hudson, who is set to play in the Celebrity Game, will also perform at halftime of the 73rd All-Star Game on February 18. Additionally, Babyface and Charlotte Cardin are slated to sing the U.S. and Canadian national anthems respectively ahead of the All-Star Game.

In addition to their involvement in the Celebrity Game, Lil Wayne is scheduled to perform ahead of the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, alongside T-Pain who will be kicking off the NBA Crossover Concert Series at the Michelob ULTRA Courtside Concert.

This isn’t 50 Cent’s first NBA venture. Last month, his company Sire Spirits formed a partnership with the Orlando Magic, becoming the “official spirit” of the team. The Magic expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting their mutual commitment to excellence and community support. The Magic joined several other NBA franchises, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, and Houston Rockets, in partnering with Sire.
