Parliament Recommends 4 Billion Shillings for Post-Summit Activities Amid Controversy Over Budget Framework”
The Parliament has recommended allocating 4 billion shillings for post-Non Aligned Movement Summit and G77 summit activities, aimed at enhancing President Museveni’s chairmanship of the two blocks. The Budget Committee proposed this during the presentation of the 52.7 trillion shillings budget framework paper report. However, in a minority report, Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda called for rejecting the paper, citing a violation of the law due to the provision of two ceiling figures.
