Kanye West took to Instagram on Monday to address Adidas’ continued sale of the Yeezy Boost 350, revealing that he receives no profit from these sales and advising fans against purchasing the sneakers. Additionally, West disclosed that Adidas is still suing him for a staggering $250 million. Despite this legal dispute, many followers showed their support for him in the comments section.
“Speak ya truth,” commented Snoop Dogg on a video of West explaining the situation, while Colby Covington called for a boycott of the brand. Others suggested West should return to Nike, where his creative endeavors might be better appreciated.
In another post, West shared a screenshot of Adidas selling a grey version of the Yeezy Boost 350, criticizing the sneaker as “corny” and emphasizing that he had no involvement in its creation. “Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys,” he wrote, expressing frustration over the lack of support in confronting real-life issues.
Adidas previously announced its decision to sell off its remaining Yeezy inventory and donate the proceeds to charity in 2023. However, West’s recent revelations shed light on the ongoing complexities of his relationship with the brand.
As the legal battle between Kanye West and Adidas continues, fans await further developments. Stay tuned for updates on this evolving story.
