As social media platforms continue to grapple with the spread of rumors and misinformation, rapper 21 Savage recently took to Twitter to address the issue. In a series of announcements earlier this week, the artist confirmed the release of a biopic based on his life story, with Donald Glover playing a role in the project. Additionally, he revealed the imminent drop of his first solo album in six years, titled “American Dream.”
Despite the excitement surrounding these announcements, 21 Savage expressed frustration with the misinformation circulating online. In a recent tweet, he stated, “Yall be on here saying anything.” While the specific rumors bothering him remain unclear, the rapper seeks clarity amidst the anticipation for his album and the accompanying short film.
Earlier in the week, 21 Savage teased potential features on the upcoming album, sparking speculation among fans about collaborations with big names such as Drake, Young Thug, and Travis Scott. The album, scheduled for release tonight, adds to an already stacked weekend with new projects from Kid Cudi and Kali Uchis.
As fans await the release of “American Dream” and the biopic, 21 Savage’s call for accuracy in information highlights the challenges musicians face in navigating the online landscape.
