The longstanding tensions between 50 Cent and Sean Combs (Diddy) have escalated with the recent controversies surrounding Diddy, including a lawsuit filed by Cassie and various allegations against the music mogul. In response, 50 Cent revealed on Friday (December 1) that he is working on a documentary about Diddy, hinting at potential financial troubles for the iconic artist.
In an Instagram post, 50 Cent wrote, “RAPPER 👀? I thought Diddy was a Billionaire music mogul. If he’s smart he will file bankruptcy now. Anyone with real money knows why I’m saying this.” The caption suggested that the documentary would delve into financial aspects, and 50 Cent declared himself as the best producer for the job, teasing the audience with the phrase, “Here come the receipts.”

50 Cent, known for his successful ventures in television production with projects like Power and BMF, emphasized his expertise in the caption. G-Unit Films and Television, the production company associated with 50 Cent, has previously worked on projects delving into the lives of rappers such as XXXTENTACION, Pop Smoke, and King Von in Hip Hop Homicides. They have also explored the true crime genre with Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down A Drug Lord.
The announcement of the documentary comes amid troubling allegations made by Mark Curry, a former Bad Boy artist, who claimed that Diddy was responsible for causing severe injuries to Kim Porter, including breaking her nose. The documentary project led by 50 Cent adds another layer to the ongoing controversies surrounding Diddy, who has temporarily stepped down from his position at Revolt amid legal and public scrutiny.
