Benny The Butcher, known for his love of basketball, recently dropped the video for his track “Bron,” showcasing his appreciation for hoops and LeBron James. The Griselda rapper effortlessly navigates the vibrant production by Hit-Boy, intertwining basketball references into his rhymes.

In the video, Benny highlights the talents of two high school basketball prodigies from the class of 2025. Hailee Swain, a junior committed to Stanford, earned a gold medal with Team USA at the FIBA Womenā€™s U16 Americas Championship. Meanwhile, Caleb Wilson, a five-star recruit with offers from top colleges, including Duke, Kentucky, USC, and Georgia, demonstrates his prowess on the men’s side.

In the song, Benny delivers clever lines such as, “I guess Iā€™ma be the shooter, you been warned/Iā€™m in this bitch, poppinā€™ Ace like Iā€™m Shawn/They play your shit, look at the gang and then we yawn/Why would he make that lame choice?/Man, these n-ggas couldnā€™t score if they had game point.”

Ahead of the single’s release, Benny shared a highlight reel chronicling LeBron James’ illustrious basketball career, set to the soundtrack of “Bron.”

“Bron” is a track from Benny’s forthcoming album, “Everybody Can’t Go,” which marks his Def Jam label debut. The album, scheduled for release on January 26, features 12 tracks, including previously released singles like “Big Dog” featuring Lil Wayne and “One Foot In” with Stove God Cooks.

During an appearance on the Rap Radar Podcast in November, Benny shed light on the album’s title, explaining its multifaceted meaning, including concepts of loyalty and being “built different.” The rapper emphasized the idea that not everyone can accompany him on his journey to new heights, and the album reflects his evolving mindset and musical approach.
