Star Brim, known as Cardi B’s best friend, has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison for her involvement in gang activity, stemming from RICO charges. Brim, who pled guilty to criminal acts associated with the 5-9 Brims gang, will also serve three years of supervised release following her prison term. The 5-9 Brims, an offshoot of the Bloods gang, faced charges under the RICO Act for various crimes, including fraud and assault, with Brim alleged to be a central figure in the organization.

Law enforcement agencies in New York targeted the 5-9 Brims to combat gang-related crimes in the area. While reports suggest that Brim will not undergo house arrest again, Judge George B. Daniels imposed strict conditions to prevent her from engaging in further gang-related activities. These conditions include abstaining from associating with the Bloods or any of its factions, both online and physically.

As part of her release terms, Brim must participate in an outpatient mental health treatment program, undergo routine drug testing, and pay a $100 special assessment. Judge Daniels recommended that Brim serve her sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, with a scheduled surrender date of July 1, 2024. It remains uncertain whether Brim will maintain contact with Cardi B.

In addition to her recent legal troubles, Brim has faced charges related to an alleged altercation at a strip club in previous years. The outcome of her involvement with the 5-9 Brims remains uncertain. For further updates on Brim and Cardi B’s circle, stay tuned.
