Once again, Lil Wayne has voiced his desire to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans, expressing eagerness for the opportunity. However, Wayne revealed that he has yet to receive any official contact regarding the prestigious gig.

Speaking on the 4HUNNID podcast, Wayne expressed his hopes and aspirations, stating, “I will not lie to you, I have not got a call or nothing. But we are praying. We praying. We keeping our fingers crossed. Iā€™m working hard. Iā€™mma make sure this next album and everything I do is killer. I wanna just make it hard for them not to holler at the boy.”

This isn’t the first time Wayne has expressed his ambition to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show. In a previous interview with Taylor Rooks and Bleacher Report, Wayne emphasized his desire for the spotlight, asserting, “Thatā€™s my moment and I earned that moment.” However, he later softened his stance, suggesting he would be open to bringing out Beyonce if she expressed interest in joining him on stage.

In addition to his Super Bowl aspirations, Wayne recently made headlines for his revised opinion on basketball star Anthony Davis. Previously advocating for the Lakers to trade Davis, Wayne now argues that Davis is indispensable to the team. “You canā€™t get nobody for him thatā€™s gonā€™ replace what he can do. Thereā€™s nobody out there like that,” Wayne asserted on UNDISPUTED, highlighting a significant shift in his perspective from previous statements made last November.

As Lil Wayne continues to navigate both the music and sports worlds, fans eagerly await further developments regarding his potential Super Bowl performance and his evolving views on basketball dynamics.
