Joe Budden is convinced that Megan Thee Stallion has thrown shade his way with the coded lyrics in her latest hit single, “Hiss.”

Speaking on The Joe Budden Show, the rapper and podcaster shared his thoughts on the song, stating, “I’ve been scratching my head all morning trying to figure out who’s been dancing to R. Kelly recently. Then it hit me like a bag of bricks. Well, my girl told me. That was us!”

With a laugh, he added, “Don’t quote me, but I think that she’s dissing us.”

The controversial track, released on Friday (January 26), has stirred up a lot of speculation, with some assuming that Megan Thee Stallion took a shot at Drake in the song.

In the second verse, the Houston dynamo raps, “These n-ggas hate on BBLs and be walkin’ around with the same scars. Real curvy, no edging, n-ggas fight to get in my section. Don’t speak on my body count if the dick ain’t worth coming back for seconds.”

She further adds, “Cosplay gangsters, fake-ass accents. Posted in another n-gga hood like a bad bitch.”

Hip-hop media personalities and fans have been quick to speculate about the intended targets of these lyrics, with Drake being a prominent focus.

Megan Thee Stallion addressed the speculation during a call to The Breakfast Club, stating, “It’s for these bitches and hoes, bitches and hoes alike, men or women. Every time one of these motherfuckers uses Megan Thee Stallion’s name, they get 24 hours of attention.”

She continued, “Basically, I understand what y’all doing, and I want y’all to get up off me. Use something else. Do something different. Use another tactic. This one’s getting old.”
