Plies Criticizes Trump Supporters Celebrating Iowa Win, Questions Legitimacy

Plies has taken to Twitter to question the reaction of Donald Trump supporters celebrating the former President’s recent win in the Iowa Caucus. In a tweet, Plies expressed his concerns, stating, “Dear America: Why Aren’t Trump & MAGA Not Saying The ‘IOWA CAUCUS’ Was Rigged??? When They ‘WIN,’ It’s Legit; When They ‘LOSE,’ It’s ‘Rigged’… VERY NASTY, DELUSIONAL & DISHONEST PEOPLE!!!”

Trump emerged victorious in the Iowa Caucus, securing a dominant win with 51% of the vote, while Ron DeSantis finished second with 21%. Many view this result as a significant indicator of the Republican voter base’s preferences, potentially shaping the primary season.

Addressing another topic related to Trump, the former President has been addressing claims that he “bullied” his way into a cameo in Home Alone 2. On Truth Social, Trump explained, “I was very busy, and didn’t want to do it. They were very nice, but above all, persistent. I agreed, and the rest is history!” Trump asserted that his brief cameo was a crucial factor in the film’s massive success.

In other developments, Maine’s Secretary of State, Shenna Bellows, announced in December 2023 that Donald Trump has been removed from the state’s Presidential primary ballot for the coming year. Citing a Civil War-era clause in the 14th Amendment that bars “insurrectionists” from running for President, Bellows became the first elected official to disbar Trump from the ballot. Similar actions were taken in Colorado in the same month.

However, the fate of these decisions may hinge on the Supreme Court. SCOTUS has never ruled on Amendment 14, Section 3 before, and the court’s intervention could be imminent. This sets the stage for a compelling battle between the conservative-leaning court and the justices’ public stance as “constitutional absolutists.” The date for SCOTUS to rule on the states’ rights to disbar Trump from state ballots is yet to be determined.
