Tyrese Announces Album “Beautiful Pain” Amid Breakup with Girlfriend

Actor and singer Tyrese took to Instagram on Sunday (February 11) to unveil a trailer for his upcoming album, “Beautiful Pain.” However, alongside this announcement, he revealed that he and his girlfriend, Zelie Timothy, had parted ways due to disagreements about the content of the album.

In his Instagram post, Tyrese expressed frustration over his breakup, stating that Zelie Timothy had demanded he cancel the album because of its focus on his past relationship with Samantha Lee, his ex-wife. Tyrese characterized the breakup as resulting from “some dumb shit,” questioning Zelie’s demand and its significance.

The trailer for “Beautiful Pain” features footage hinting at collaborations with stars like Lenny Kravitz, Will Smith, Snoop Dogg, and El DeBarge. It also includes news coverage of Tyrese’s divorce from Samantha Lee and his mother’s recent passing.

“Beautiful Pain” is currently available for pre-order on Tyrese’s website, with a scheduled release date set for May.

Last year, Tyrese discussed the inspiration behind the album in an interview with Kenny Burns, revealing that it draws from his experiences with Samantha Lee.
