Ice Spice turned heads at Super Bowl LVIII as she sported a stunning Playboi Carti opium chain, adding a touch of glamour to the star-studded event alongside Taylor Swift.
On Sunday (February 11), Carti took to Instagram to share a snapshot of Spice wearing the eye-catching purple chain, shaped like a cross and named “YVL,” designed by renowned jeweler Alex Moss, whose clientele includes Drake, A$AP Rocky, and Chief Keef.
The shimmering accessory adorned Ice Spice’s neck as she arrived at the venue accompanied by Swift and actress Blake Lively. The trio was spotted celebrating the winning touchdown thrown by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, further enhancing the chain’s visibility.
Ice Spice and Playboi Carti’s online flirtation has been evident for some time, with Carti expressing his interest in the Bronx star on his track “BACKR00MS,” where he rapped about wanting “a munch” like Ice Spice.
Their flirtatious exchange continued as Carti reposted Ice Spice’s birthday photoshoot on his Instagram Stories, earning a reciprocal repost from the “Princess Diana” artist, signaling her approval of his namedrop. Further fueling speculation, Carti shared a screenshot of a message from Ice Spice, featuring the suggestive phrase “backr00ms” and a kiss mark emoji.
Despite their apparent closeness, Ice Spice previously disclosed that she is in a relationship, choosing to keep her partner’s identity private to maintain focus on her music career.
Carti’s romantic life has also made headlines, with rumors circulating about his involvement with former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello after the pair were seen FaceTiming each other.
As Ice Spice continues to captivate audiences with her music and style, her friendship with Carti adds another intriguing dimension to her public persona.
