Cardi B, known for her candidness on social media, shared a humorous confession with fans during an Instagram Live session on Thursday. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper revealed that she unintentionally slept through the entirety of Thanksgiving, nearly missing out on the holiday feast.
While at her Mother-In-Law’s house, Cardi explained, “Can y’all believe I slept throughout the whole entire Thanksgiving, bro? First of all, I starved myself the whole day. Just for this moment,” she added, displaying a fully dressed plate. “So, I fell asleep. I think I got here around 6 o’clock. I woke up like 20 minutes ago. Slept through the whole Thanksgiving, bro.”

In earlier November, Cardi B announced a collaboration with Patti LaBelle for the “Holiday Harmony” campaign. The partnership combines Whip Shots vodka whipped cream and Patti’s Good Life pies. In a promotional video, Cardi and Patti showcased their culinary skills, humorously suggesting that the cream and the pie “have sex together.”
Patti LaBelle, impressed not only by the tasty collaboration but also by Cardi B’s warm and welcoming nature, referred to Cardi as the “Baby Patti” during an interview with Tamron Hall. The Whip Shots x Good Life campaign will feature six sitcom-style shorts showcasing different combinations from their product lines, according to Billboard.
