In response to Travis Scott’s recent concert incident where a fan rushed the stage, Jermaine Dupri took to Twitter to voice his concerns about the safety of both the artist and the fan involved. Although Dupri’s tweet has been deleted, captured screenshots by Hollywood Unlocked reveal his worry about the potential dangers and security measures during such incidents.

“I just saw a kid jump onstage with Travis [mind blown emoji]. Do y’all know how dangerous that is? Like! What is security doing to allow this? And then once they see him, they wanna rough him up — it’s too late at that point, SMH,” Dupri expressed in the now-deleted tweet.

The incident occurred during Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour stop in Austin on November 21. A visibly enthusiastic fan made his way through the elaborate stage setup, prompting initial intervention from Travis Scott. Initially, Scott grabbed the fan by the shirt collar, but when security arrived, he waved them off and chose to continue the performance alongside the excited fan.

Jermaine Dupri, along with Dallas Austin, was recently honored with the Crown Jewel of Excellence from Atlanta’s Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame. They joined the ranks of Lil Wayne, Queen Latifah, Magic Johnson, Marvin Sapp, and the late Mahalia Jackson, all recognized for their significant contributions to Black music and entertainment.

Dupri and Austin shared their gratitude for the induction ceremony on social media, expressing the honor of being recognized alongside other influential figures in the industry.
