Childish Gambino, the multifaceted artist, recently addressed a lingering rumor about being “friend-zoned” by a famous collaborator, sparking speculation among fans about the individual in question.

During an interview with Buzzfeed alongside Maya Erskine, his co-star in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” Glover responded to Erskine’s question about dispelling a rumor. She asked, “What is a rumor that you hate that is out that you wanna disprove right now?”

Glover clarified, “There was a rumor I got friend-zoned by someone once. Someone. But I didn’t get friend-zoned by them. The rumor is I got friend-zoned by them. I didn’t get friend-zoned by them. I got other zoned.”

Many fans immediately speculated that the person referred to might be singer Jhené Aiko.

On X (formerly Twitter), one fan commented, “Donald Glover holding on to Jhene Aiko is understandable,” with another adding humorously, “Jhene Aiko is Donald Glover’s Rihanna,” drawing a parallel to Drake’s rumored fling with his “Work” collaborator.

Childish Gambino and Jhené Aiko notably collaborated on the 2013 songs “Pink Toes” and “Bed Peace,” and Glover also directed the music video for Aiko’s “The Pressure.”

During the time of their collaboration, Glover expressed admiration for Aiko, stating, “I think she’s special. She doesn’t need anyone. Like, that’s the thing. Even if we were together, she wouldn’t really belong to me. She doesn’t belong to anything, and I would know that. And that’s the thing, I’ve never had to deal with that… She’s off in her own world.”

Despite speculation, Aiko previously denied being in a romantic relationship with Glover, stating, “We’re friends, we’re good friends. That’s all I’m going to say … We’re still getting to know each other.”

Beyoncé has shattered records yet again, becoming the first Black woman to claim the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with her latest single, “Texas Hold ’Em.”

The groundbreaking achievement was announced by Billboard on Tuesday (February 20), alongside the revelation that another track from Beyoncé’s surprise drop, “16 Carriages,” debuted at No. 9 on the same chart.

Both songs were released unexpectedly on February 11, following their announcement during a Verizon commercial aired during Super Bowl LVIII. Beyoncé also disclosed that these tracks would feature on her upcoming album, Renaissance: Act II, slated for release on March 29.

The surprise release confirmed speculations among fans about Beyoncé’s venture into country music, fueled by hints such as her country-inspired attire at the 2024 Grammy Awards and lyrics from her 2019 single “Black Parade,” where she sings, “I’m going back to the South, where my roots ain’t watered down,” hinting at a country direction for Act II.

While Beyoncé’s camp has neither confirmed nor denied the trilogy rumors, there had been prior indications that the original Renaissance album was part of a larger narrative arc.

Days after their release, “Texas Hold Em” made history as Beyoncé’s inaugural entry on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, debuting at No. 54 with 1.1 million in audience via 100 stations at the format in the tracking week ending February 15.

Billboard’s data is drawn from around 150 country music stations across the United States, as surveyed by Mediabase.

“We immediately added it [in] a sub-power rotation, which is where we put top-trending new music,” remarked Bo Matthews, program director at KBAY San Jose. “I want people to hear it. One of the biggest artists in the world delivered a great country record for us to have fun with, and the song is really good.

he trial for Keefe D, a suspect in the murder of 2Pac, has been postponed, pushing the proceedings back by several months.

As reported by ABC 13 in Las Vegas on Tuesday (February 20), Keefe D’s new attorney, Carl “E.G.” Arnold, requested the delay, citing the need for additional time to review the discovery materials related to the case.

Originally slated to commence on June 3, the trial is now rescheduled for November 4, following Arnold’s plea for an extension.

During a hearing on Tuesday, Arnold expressed confidence in his client’s eventual acquittal, stating, “He’s upbeat that he can possibly get out of here real soon.” Arnold emphasized the necessity for the prosecution to present evidence regarding the alleged firearm, vehicle, and Keefe D’s whereabouts in Las Vegas at the time of the incident.

Last month, Keefe D opted to replace his public defenders with Arnold, a Howard University School of Law graduate recognized in the legal community for his expertise, having been named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100.

Regarding bail, the presiding judge set a $750,000 cash bond in early January. Additionally, the judge ruled that if Keefe D can meet the bail requirement, he may be placed under house arrest, provided he wears an ankle monitor.

Earlier, Keefe D’s court-appointed attorneys had appealed for leniency, citing his poor health and assuring that he posed no flight risk. They had hoped for a bail amount not exceeding $100,000, considering his financial constraints.

Although Nevada permits capital punishment, prosecutors have indicated that they will not pursue the death penalty in Keefe D’s case if he is found guilty.

50 Cent, Drake, and The Game Among Celebrities Falsely Registered to Vote

A recent revelation has surfaced indicating that high-profile celebrities such as 50 Cent, Drake, and The Game were falsely registered to vote under the same address without their consent.

According to a report by The Houston Chronicle last week, records from the Harris County Tax Assessor’s Office showed that on August 15, 2023, names including those of the aforementioned artists, along with Trey Songz and Chris Brown, were submitted for voter registration in Texas. Notably, none of these individuals cast a ballot in the most recent elections.

The loophole in federal law allowed for this fraudulent activity to occur, as Texas doesn’t mandate individuals to provide identification, driver’s license, or Social Security Number during the registration process. Applicants are only required to provide legal names and birth dates.

The individuals behind this scheme listed each name under a residency in Katy, Texas, bypassing the requirement for further identification.

Moreover, the perpetrator(s) knowingly signed documents acknowledging the legal repercussions of their actions, including the possibility of imprisonment and fines for perjury under state and federal law.

“This is not fooling around,” commented UT Austin law professor Randall Erben, highlighting the severity of the situation. “These people are either committing high misdemeanors or felonies.”

While 50 Cent may not be eligible to vote in Texas, he recently caused a stir by suggesting his support for Donald Trump in the upcoming elections while criticizing New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ proposed program of distributing pre-paid debit cards to migrants.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, the G-Unit mogul expressed his confusion and frustration with the program, hinting at a preference for Trump as a solution to his grievances.

The loss of Snoop’s younger brother, Bing Worthington, at the age of 44 has left a profound impact on the West Coast icon. On Tuesday (February 20), Snoop shared a heartfelt Instagram post, honoring his loved ones and acknowledging the support they’ve provided during this difficult time.

“Prayer n family getting my spirit bac in order. RIP @badabing33,” he captioned a video collage featuring his relatives, set to the backdrop of October London’s “Mulholland Drive.”

The post garnered support from notable figures such as radio host Big Boy, singer Monica, and actress Windi Washington, who all offered their condolences in the comments section.

Worthington, Snoop’s half-brother on his mother’s side, played various roles in Snoop Dogg’s career over the years. From tour managing to contributing to the album “Snoop Dogg Presents: Tha Eastsidaz” and even collaborating on business ventures like Snoop-branded skateboards and hot dogs, he was deeply involved in his brother’s endeavors. He also formed part of the rap duo Lifestyle.

In recent times, Bing co-founded a record label in Canada with Miguel Lopez, merging Dogg Records and Lopez’s Urban Heat. His passing comes less than two and a half years after the death of their mother, Beverly Tate, whom Snoop fondly remembered as an angel in an Instagram post from October 2021.

While the cause of Bing’s death remains undisclosed, his mother had been battling illness for some time. Snoop had previously reached out to his extensive network of friends, fans, and family, seeking prayers for her recovery. Responding to his call, figures like Jermaine Dupri, Warren G, Roxanne Shanté, Sheila E., Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, and Killer Mike expressed their support and offered their thoughts and prayers.
