Latto has been spotted filming a music video in The Bronx, sparking rumors of a potential feud with Ice Spice, though the two have not reached the levels of publicized conflict seen between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion. Despite not reaching an all-out feud, subliminal shots have been exchanged across social media and in their songs.

The sighting of Latto shooting a video in The Bronx raised eyebrows, with fans of Ice Spice commenting on the move. One fan expressed their opinion, stating, “‘Beefin’ with someone then going to their hood with a million bodyguards is corny because if you got to do all that, just don’t go at all because it doesn’t make you look gangsta.”

Another fan made a humorous observation about the heavy security presence in the clip, commenting, “Security moving like they the secret service lmfaooo.”

Ice Spice recently confirmed that her latest song, “Think U The Shit (Fart),” is indeed aimed at Latto, addressing the ongoing speculations. The song references Latto’s hit “Put it on Da Floor,” with Spice rapping, “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up.”

During a recent appearance on Twitter Spaces on February 2, the “Much” hitmaker explicitly mentioned Latto as the target of the song and explained the reason behind it. She recalled noticing her music video playing in the background of a short clip posted by Latto and took offense to it.

“Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak-ass snippet,” she said. “So I was like, ‘Wait a second — that’s me?’ So I’m like, ‘Okay, since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me,’ and I dropped that.”

Ice Spice and Latto’s rumored issues are speculated to arise from accusations of copycat behavior, with Latto facing allegations of imitating Spice’s signature bent-over move.

Latto responded to the copycat accusations on Twitter last year, stating, “Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less. I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak ass narratives.”
