Despite the ongoing anticipation for Drake’s response to Kendrick Lamar’s recent diss track, the Canadian rapper seems to have found time to indulge in some lighthearted trolling, this time aimed at Joe Budden. While fans eagerly await Drake’s lyrical comeback, he took to Instagram to poke fun at the podcaster’s fashion choice, showcasing his knack for social media banter.
In a recent Instagram Story, Drake shared a snapshot of Joe Budden sporting notably baggy sweatpants along with a black hoodie, a shiny puffer jacket, crisp white sneakers, and a hat reading “FREE.” The post comes on the heels of Drake’s performance in New York City, during which he vented his frustrations on stage during “Energy.” Drake’s caption, “What’s the vibes NY?!?” suggests he was on the lookout for some Easter weekend fun while simultaneously teasing Budden.
Meanwhile, amidst Drake’s playful jabs, Nicki Minaj surprised fans by extending an olive branch to Joe Budden. During her concert in New Jersey, she invited Budden to perform his hit track “Pump It Up.” However, Budden declined the opportunity, disappointing both fans and co-hosts alike. The news sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some expressing nostalgia for the iconic song while others lamented Budden’s decision to pass up the chance to perform it live.
As speculation continues to swirl regarding Drake’s response to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, the rapper’s social media antics offer a brief respite from the anticipation. While fans eagerly await Drake’s next move in the ongoing rap feud, his playful interactions on Instagram keep the entertainment flowing.
