In 2022, Ice Spice took the music scene by storm with her viral hit “Munch.” Since then, she has continuously elevated her musical prowess, collaborating with icons like Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, solidifying her status as one of the industry’s standout newcomers. Despite her success, one thing that has eluded her fans is a full-length album, with only an EP released last year. As 2024 unfolds, anticipation grows for Spice to take that next artistic leap.
The Today Show became the platform for a major revelation as Spice made a significant announcement. In a clip shared below, she declared the impending release of her new album titled “Y2K” later this year. The significance of the album’s name lies in Spice’s personal connection—being born on January 1st, 2000, during the Y2K era when apocalyptic fears gripped some. As a true millennial, Spice aims to showcase her artistry on a grander scale with this upcoming album.
