Khloe Kardashian’s recent Halloween costume as a Bratz doll has stirred controversy among the myriad of celebrity looks this year. The reality TV star’s attire included a mini dress, chunky boots, and lengthy hair, yet it wasn’t her outfit that captured attention. Critics were swift to notice a deepening of Khloe’s complexion in the photos she shared on Instagram, raising concerns regarding her altered skin tone.
Several social media users questioned Khloe’s choice to seemingly darken her skin for the Halloween costume. This instance isn’t the first time someone from the Kardashian-Jenner family has faced accusations of Blackfishing, but it certainly garnered headlines. Responding to these allegations, Khloe posted a series of cryptic messages on her Instagram Stories, suggesting that people’s perceptions are influenced by their own situations and mindset. The posts advocate for honesty, love, and a positive mindset and encourage avoiding negativity for inner peace.
While it’s unclear if Khloe’s Instagram stories were directly addressing the Blackfishing controversy, the timing seems conspicuous. At present, Khloe’s costume photos remain on her Instagram page, indicating her resolve to stand by her Bratz-inspired appearance without directly confronting the issue. The situation has triggered divided opinions, with some condemning her costume choice and others coming to her defense.
