Amidst the uproar surrounding the Where Is Wendy Williams? documentary, Wendy Williams finds herself embroiled in a storm of controversy and family turmoil. The documentary, shedding light on her struggles with aphasia and dementia, has sparked heated debate and media scrutiny. However, her ex-husband Kevin Hunter Sr. believes the Lifetime docuseries missed crucial narratives, particularly regarding Williams’ sister Wanda’s alleged exploitation of the iconic TV host.

In a recent Instagram Story post, Hunter accused Williams’ sister of orchestrating secret calls with certain individuals under false pretenses, claiming they aimed to restore Williams’ show. “While she was in Florida getting recovery 3 yrs ago, there were the secret calls her SISTER would set up with DEMBAR MERCURY (MORT & IRA),” Hunter wrote. He alleged that these calls were made to satisfy an insurance claim, with no intention of restoring Williams’ show. Instead, Hunter claims they sought to replace losses and embezzle funds, amounting to an alleged theft of $5-15 million.

According to Hunter, Williams’ sister aimed to gain ultimate control over her, leveraging her position as the medical proxy at the time. However, Hunter asserts that her naiveté led her to be manipulated, resulting in Williams spiraling further upon her return to New York. While Williams has yet to address these allegations directly, she recently expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support she received after disclosing her diagnosis of Aphasia and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).

In a statement, Williams thanked her fans for their outpouring of love and kindness, emphasizing the power of unity and compassion. She also expressed hope that her story would benefit others with FTD and thanked the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration for their support and efforts to raise awareness.
