Rage rap has experienced a surge in popularity over recent years, with Yeat playing a significant role in this genre’s growth. Originating from Portland, Oregon, Yeat’s career took off in the latter part of 2018, reaching new heights in 2023, thanks in no small part to Drake. The Toronto superstar featured him on “IDGAF,” a contender for the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 from Yeat’s project “For All The Dogs.”
In 2023, Yeat also dropped his eighth project, “AftërLyfe,” featuring collaborations with NBA YoungBoy, Kranky Kranky, and LUH GEEKY. Following such success, fans are now anticipating even more from the 23-year-old, and it appears he is aiming for something extraordinary.
Yeat recently shared a cryptic message on his Instagram story, stating, “Me n gambino going chips for grass and yall would never know.” The reference is to the multi-talented Childish Gambino. Considering Yeat’s distinctive rage rap sound, a collaboration with the unpredictable Gambino promises to be peculiar yet intriguing. This potential track could mark the first collaboration between these two artists.
