Brandon Marshall’s recent claims about Kanye West being kicked out of the Super Bowl due to his proximity to Taylor Swift have been refuted by a representative for the rapper. The former NFL star’s account, which garnered attention from various outlets, was dismissed as fabricated by Kanye’s spokesperson in a statement to HipHopDX on Wednesday (February 14).

John Monopoly, Kanye’s former manager who was present at the event, also contradicted the rumor, labeling it untrue in the comments section of a Hollywood Unlocked post discussing the alleged incident.

During an interview on the Paper Route podcast, Marshall detailed how Kanye West had reportedly purchased a ticket directly in front of Katy Perry’s booth to ensure his face would be visible whenever Perry was shown on screen. However, Marshall later realized he had confused Perry with Taylor Swift, who famously clashed with West at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

Despite Marshall’s assertions, Kanye West was spotted multiple times inside Allegiant Stadium during the Super Bowl. Footage showed him interacting with Ty Dolla $ign and Anderson .Paak in a luxury suite, with a TV in the background indicating that he was present for a significant portion of the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.
