Charlamagne Tha God Takes Aim at “Sons” in the Industry During Podcast Rant

During a recent episode of the Brilliant Idiots podcast, co-hosted by Charlamagne Tha God and Andrew Schulz, Charlamagne went on a fiery tirade directed at his “sons” in the industry. No Jumper shared a clip of the podcast on Instagram, prompting speculation among fans that Charlamagne was targeting DJ Akademiks.

In the clip, Charlamagne addressed his “sons” with a mix of paternal affection and stern reprimand. “Some of y’all are my sons, and I know you’re upset because Daddy’s been neglecting you. I love all my sons regardless of how y’all talk about Daddy. Don’t mention Daddy’s name ever again. They can’t. Whenever you hear my sons talking about me,” he declared, with Schulz chiming in that they’re hungry. Charlamagne concluded by instructing listeners to respond to his sons’ comments with “Daddy’s not coming home.”

If Charlamagne’s remarks were indeed aimed at DJ Akademiks, it wouldn’t be the first time the two have engaged in a public exchange. Last year, Akademiks expressed frustration that Charlamagne, along with Gillie The Kid and Wallo, had declined invitations to appear on his podcast. He recounted his efforts to secure their participation, highlighting a perceived lack of reciprocity in their professional relationship.
