Kodak Black Arrested in Plantation, FL, After Allegedly Swallowing Cocaine During Traffic Stop

Earlier today, reports surfaced detailing the arrest of rapper Kodak Black in Plantation, FL, on charges of possession of cocaine, tampering with physical evidence, and improper stop/stand/park. The artist is set to appear before a Florida judge later in the day, with additional information emerging from the arrest report shedding light on the incident.

According to the obtained report by XXL, officers discovered Kodak Black asleep behind the wheel of his parked Bentley, obstructing part of the road. Upon approaching, the officer noted the scent of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed a styrofoam cup, purportedly containing alcohol, inside.

During questioning, the officer inquired about the presence of drugs in the vehicle, to which Kodak responded with “weed.” As another officer ran a license check, the report details that white powder began falling from Kodak’s mouth. Although the rapper claimed it was Percocet, subsequent testing confirmed it to be cocaine.

 

The arrest comes amid weeks of speculation regarding Kodak’s alleged struggles with substance abuse, fueled by concerns raised after his appearance on Drink Champs in October. Fans and peers expressed worry about his behavior during the interview, prompting calls for him to seek help. Kodak, however, has denied having a problem.

This development also follows Kodak Black’s November attempt to dismiss a previous drug possession case, where he was allegedly found with 31 oxycodone tablets in 2022. He contends that they were merely Tylenol, and his lawyer, Bradford Cohen, accuses the Broward Sheriff’s Office of orchestrating a “coordinated takedown” of the rapper.
